Bill on Property Development adopted by Parliament
ALGIERS- A bill on property development was adopted Sunday by the People's National Assembly (Parliament) at a plenary session chaired by Speaker Abdelaziz Ziari.
Made up of 83 articles, the bill includes a series of provisions intended to “protect both property developers and buyers,” which is not ensured by regulations (Legislative Decree of March 1993) in force now.
Current regulations lack measures for supervision of relevant operations or forcing property developers to respect their commitments, mainly in relation to projects completion and delivery times.
