Bouteflika Calls On Social, Economic Partners To Unite

President Abdelaziz Bouteflika called on Sunday the government and its social and economic partners to “unite and win the battle of development and maintaining Algeria’s financial independence and sovereignty in the economic field.

President Bouteflika added, in a message to commemorate the Freedom Fighters (Mudjahid) Day, which was read on his behalf by the Minister of Mujahideen (war veterans), Tayeb Zitouni, who said: “Algeria celebrates two unique stations in the history of the glorious November Revolution. We must at this time be guided by the example of solidarity and harmony among all actors of the development battle, including the government and its social and economic partners in order to mobilize all energies and create new incomes that complement the oil revenues in order to maintain, in the long term, Algeria’s financial independence and sovereignty in the economic area.”

President of the Republic asserted: “It is the government’s duty and its social and economic partners to raise the example, in solidarity, recruiting and lining the ranks, for the rest of our people so that our country can mobilize the solidarity of all its people and invest in building their various capacities.”

“Victory in the battle of development, under conditions that are characterized by external pressures, foremost of which is the terrible collapse of oil prices since 3 years ago, which requires all Algerians, whatever their jobs and locations, not to waste any opportunity or any potential ability to address this bet”.

“Development, sovereignty and independence require all the values ​​of our people, to strengthen the state of law, which in turn requires the promotion of national consensus and the internal stratification of our country to the challenges of our modern world”.

President of the Republic concluded that “Consensus and the unification of our forces has constituted the essential aspiration of the political process, which I had the honor to bring with you throughout these years from civil harmony and national reconciliation, as these two options brought peace back into our country, reaching achievements at all levels and in the service of the Algerian people”.
