Boxing: Algeria wins African team championship

YAOUNDE (Cameroon)- Algerian pugilists have won African team championship by snatching eight medals: 3 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze, at the finals of the 17th Africa boxing championships that wrapped up Friday at the multipurpose sports palace of Yaounde, Cameroon.

Algerian boxers ranked first by winning eight medals, in Yaounde, ahead of their Cameroonian counterparts (7 medals) and Mauritians (4 medals).
