As the aircraft landed, ten workers from the Swiss company came to disembark luggage and clean the plane which was evacuated from its crew. The pilot left his personal luggage there.
When he came back, he did not find his digital camera, a mobile phone and £2,000. He immediately notified border guards at the airport. An investigation was opened and 10 suspects had been heard all day long. They were arrested and introduced to a court in Algiers.
Preliminary investigations showed that 5 workers may be involved in the theft and the mastermind has records. The suspects denied the accusations and they are expected to appear in court. The director of the Swiss company will be summoned as well.
