Annaba court (eastern Algeria), postponed, on Thursday, the issue of compensations that was demanded by Algerie Telecom company, to next January 14, 2016, in which the crew of Panama ship (Povassa Assi) are implicated.

Echorouk sources confirmed that the Panama ship is currently located on platform number 13 at Annaba Port, eastern Algeria, which was led by captain De Shan Long, who is banned from leaving the Algerian territory, after he was placed under judicial control, and seizing his passport and all the ship’s documents after damaging the Internet cable on last October 22.

The case was registered with the name of the maritime trade department at Annaba court, in order to claim the payment of compensations for the lost revenues and expenses of repairs and moral damage against Algerie Telecom Company, and its customers, especially as the ship’s anchor that was used in stopping the ship caused direct damages on the cable.

On the other hand, Echorouk sources confirmed that the commercial ship is also required to pay nearly 9 billion ZDZ for the National Office for Grain, which is the approximate value of 2,200 quintals of soft wheat that was supposed to reach Algeria out of 269,700,000 Quintals.
