Central African Republic squad gearing up for Algeria CAN qualifier
The national team of the Central African Republic today returned to Bangui aftera 10 – day training camp in the Tunisian resort of Aïn Dahran in preparation forthe upcoming Africa cup of nations' qualifier at home versus the Greens ofAlgeria on October 10th.
- Central African Republic national coach Gilles Acoursi described this 10 – day
preparatory training camp in Tunisia as most successful stressing that he and
his players had found there all the facilities and amenities for a good training
in the most appropriate conditions.He said that his players were confident of securing a victory with flying
colours in Bangui versus Algeria after the commendable performance they
displayed earlier this month in Rabat versus Morocco (0-0) in their first CAN
qualifier.He said that the meritorious draw secured recently versus Morocco had galvanized
his players who are determined to pull out all the stops versus the national
squad of Algeria in Bangui on October 10th.He added that his team would be compelled to wrench the 3 points of victory
versus Algeria in order to snatch the first slot of the standings of their
group.Gilles Acoursi further indicated that the national squad of the Central African
Republic was faring well at the moment in the light of the new FIFA world
rankings as his team jumped from the 200th to the 172nd slot, a gain of 28
slots.This is very encouraging and motivating for my squad for the remainder of the
CAN contest, he said.
