CHAN 2011 (friendly): Algeria beat Niger 4-1

ALGIERS- Algeria's national football team featuring players who are active in the national championship found no difficulty in defeating Saturday their Niger's counterparts 4-1, (half-time 3-0), in a friendly held in the Dar El-Beida Stadium of Algiers.

After beating Chad 3-1 twenty days ago, the Fennecs achieved a new victory over Niger, a victory that is psychologically important ahead of the 2011 African Nations Championship (CHAN), which will bring together African soccer players competing in their country’s domestic league to Sudan (4-25 February).

Encouraged by a large number of fans, the Algerian squad opened the score as early as the seventh minute through Soudani.
