CHAN-2011 (semifinals): Algerians, not unworthy

KHARTOUM- The Algerian A' football team got out head high in the semifinals of the African Nations Championship 2011 (CHAN-2011) after being defeated on penalties against Tunisia on Tuesday at the International Stadium of Khartoum.

For their first participation in CHAN, Abdelhak Benchikha men could pass in the final against an opponent, certainly, far more experienced but to be superior to the Algerian team.

“Honestly, the Tunisian team was not superior to ours.

We had the opportunity to reach the final. Unfortunately, we failed to embody our dominance in the second half,” Captain Abdelkader Laifaoui said.
