Change march fails once again in Algeria

The Coordination for Change Saturday failed on organizing a march in Algiers for the eleventh time. The number of protesters was estimated at 25 while the leader of the Rally for Culture and Democracy (RCD) Said Saadi was absent.

  • The protesters were calling for a political change in the country. They stayed in the 1er Mai Square repeating slogans shouting to topple the regime.

  • The president of honour of the Algerian League for Human Rights Defence Ali Yahia Abdenour participated in the march.
  •  
  • A political party’s member said the street does not solve the problem. He admitted that political parties should be involved in cgnaging the Constitution but human rights activistsis should care for other things.

  • The number of policemen was higer compared to the previous times.
