Chelsea ready to offer 50 million euros for Mahrez

Chelsea’s coach Antonio Conte holds talks with Algerian international player Ryad Mahrez’s representatives to bring him to the club before summer transfers are over.

Chelsea’s administration said it is ready to pay 50 million euros to benefit from the services of Leicester City’s striker, an English newspaper reported on Tuesday.

Earlier, Leicester City’s coach Craig Robert Shakespeare said his player Mahrez “wants to play for a top-six club.”

Algeria’s football star said he wants to go to a club which participates in the European Champions’ League 2017-2018.

Roma offered 23 million euros before raising it to 30 million euros and then 35 million euros. Yet, Leicester City’s administration rejected the bid, saying it is not appropriate to an international player such as Mahrez.

Chelsea ranks sixth after three rounds of the Premier League. Because of that, Antonio Conte looks for new players before summer transfers are over.
