Chinese companies do not find qualified manpower in Algeria

Chinese economic operators Tuesday said construction companies do not find any qualified Algerian manpower to employ them in workshops. Because of that, they are thinking of opening training centre.

  China’s ambassador presented a sample of problems companies face in the Algerian market. He said Chinese companies find big difficulties in employing constructers and carpenters.

  He hailed cooperation between China and Algeria which have been remarkably developing for years. “Projects won by Chinese company Citic CRCC were achieved before their deadlines. It finished 15 projects out of 16 as part of Algeria’s East-West Motorway,” he told reporters in the Chinese embassy’s headquarters in Algiers.

  “Twenty additional contracts left and they will be accomplished by the end of 2011. Works were sometimes stopped because of geographic or atmosphere conditions,” he added.

  He also said a Chinese company constructed the hotel which is expected to host the event of Tlemcen, the Capital of the Islamic Culture. “It was constructed in 14 years in conformity with the Algerian government’s conditions.”
  

  “Algerian operators should know that asking for lower prices every time is not good for the Algerian market. Lower prices mean a bad quality. Algerian operators go to small markets to buy their goods,” he added.
