Civil Protection agents decided to protest in front of the General Directorate for Civil Protection on the end of the first week of November, asking for the departure of Director General of Civil Protection, Colonel Mustafa Lehbiri, partners and accountants, and to reconsider the basic law by involving the real representatives of the agents in discussion and enrichment, and reconsider the monthly wage through increasing it to 55.000 DZD at the beginning, then raise the wage-base by 100%.

National Federation of Civil Protection rallying under the banner of the National Union of Independent Users of Public Administration “SNAPA” said, in a statement which copy is available to Echorouk, that all agents and officers of the Civil Protection decided to reveolt and speak out, protesting against what they called “the circumstances surrounding the sector, like arbitrary penalties and arrests against every honest and honorable, and the liberals who are demanding their rights, in light of the marginalization that reached all officers and competencies in the ranks of civil protection.
Tchico told Echorouk that agents of the civil protection across various cities began to regroup out from units in crowds and move to the headquarters of regional directorates, then go directly to the General Directorate for Civil Protection, in a peaceful and quiet and civilized way with a minimum guarantee of tasks.
“Agents of the Civil Protection are tired from the way the concerned authorities dealt with their demands, due to exclusion in the process of making any decision that belongs to them. What increased the anger of the civil protection workers is the method of preparing the draft Basic Law, which had been without a basic consulting”.
