Claude Le Roy close to Algeria football team
President of the Algerian Football Federation (FAF) Mohamed Raouraoua contacted once again Oman’s coach Clause Le Roy to convince him to train the national team starting from January, Echorouk has learnt.
- Raouraoua has not found yet the form of the contract he would sign with the French coach. Le Roy would have required being the man No 1 in the team if he had accepted the deal, said the same sources.
- The FAF’s president insists on signing a deal with a big coach to lead the national team either by himself or along with Abdelkah Benchikha.
- All it seems that Raouraoua did not like the changes made by Benchikha on the team. Because of that, he would have wanted to bring a new element to the technical staff. Earlier, he said he did not want to precipitate things in terms of bringing a foreign coach.
- The question remains about the way Le Roy will deal with the technical staff as he will not accept to work as an assistant of Benchikha and he will not accept to be an adviser. He will certainly ask to be the man No 1 in the team.
