CNAS Launched On-line Payment Of Social Security Contributions For Employers
A new service pertaining to “Tele-Payment” has been made available to employers at the national level by the CNAS Social Insurance Fund to enable them to pay online their declared social security contributions via a secure electronic portal at https: /teledeclaration.cnas.dz.
According to what was said at a press briefing in Oran (western Algeria) on Wednesday by a CNAS senior executive, the move is aimed at the improvement and modernization of the CNAS services, on the one hand, and on the other hand, the easing of the payment settlements for the benefit of the employers, so as to spare them the long waiting queues during their movements to the cash register.
Three brand-new payment methods are offered via this smart service, namely e-payment by interbank card (CIB) via the Internet, payment by e-banking transfer from account to account, always via internet, and finally the EDI levy (Exchange of computerized data) or the authorization of withdrawals from the employers’ account of the overall amount of their workers’ social security contributions.
The CNAS spokesperson wished to clarify that as regards the method of payment by e-banking, this one will be carried out, for the security of the operations, through the electronic portal of the Company of automation of interbank and electronic transactions (Satim), which duly certifies the money transfers.
For those employers who cannot make their interbank card transfers, the same official indicated that they can go to the CNAS premises, where they will be provided with an electronic payment terminal to pay their social security contributions.
He also reminded employers wishing to straighten out their situation as regards social security contributions that the deadline for granting payment schedules in the framework of the exceptional measures provided for in Article 57 of the 2015 Supplementary Finance Law, has been extended up to 31 December 2016.
