Commando of 40 officers to chase the hackers

Officials at the judicial police of the national security in Chateau neuve, Algiers, told Echorouk that the first batch of 40 officers in the judicial police will receive a special training in the fight against cyber criminality beginning of next week until the end of the last session, as they will be deployed in several security regions in the 48 localities. 

• Police governor at the judicial police directorate, Mestfaoui said that the first batch of 40 officers will finish the last training and will undertake their duties at the security headquarters of several localities as a first step until ensuring a national coverage by the end of the year.

• These officers are specialised in fighting cyber criminality whatever their degree in order to apply law of sanctions which identified provisions and penalties for the accused or what is legally called “prejudice to the systems of data mechanism”.

• Among the offences punishable by law and monitored by these officers whose task is investigating on the criminals and collecting evidence of incrimination, such as penetration of a personal e-mail, sites and information systems or data banks of the private and public institutions.
