Cops Save A Family From Mass Suicide Eastern Algeria

On Wednesday, police officers of Al Akla municipality in the province of Tebessa (eastern Algeria) rescued a family from mass suicide after the 39-year-old father poured gasoline on his body and members of his family, and threatened to set fire while cops tried to remove him from the municipality’s garage.

The incident, which reminded everyone of the incident of Marset, which resulted in the death of a cop who was slaughtered by a man who kidnapped a minor girl, as cops tried to free her but the man killed him.

Security forces of the department received a phone call from the heads of the municipality and the department asking them to go out and ask a citizen to evacuate the municipality’s garage for years, despite the demand to evacuate him for the public good, and to implement the request of the local authorities to move cops, but more cautiously this time, and with more cops that the previous incident, as when they reached the garage, the father took out the four members, in front of everyone, but he poured gasoline on himself and his family, and threatened to commit mass suicide, as they took him out, by setting the fire on himself.

In view of the seriousness of the situation and the angry man, who insisted on mass suicide with his family. A cop approached him and stripped him of the gasoline bottle and separated him from his family, as they quietly asked him to return to the garage.

The citizen confirmed that he is a father of a family and could not get out of the garage in the absence of a solution for his family members, before he voluntarily vacated the garage.
