Counterfeiters appeared in court in Algeria
A court in Oran (west of Algiers) dealt on Sunday with the biggest counterfeiting case in western Algeria after security forces had dismantled a network which constituted an informal government inside the State.

The network counterfeited all the official documents at various ministries, public institutions and administrations in western Algeria including the Algerian consulate in France, French companies, artists’ cards and success certificates.

The trial of five suspects including a woman revealed facts about a counterfeiting activity at all the official institutions even those representing power and sovereignty such us justice sector and security forces.

Three suspects were sentenced to 10 years prison for counterfeiting official seals, stamps and administrative documents. Another man and a woman were sentenced to one year prison.
