Customs officers involved in equipement’s smuggling at Algiers Airport
10 customs officers and two officers in charge of security appeared before the court on charges of smuggling sensitive transmissions’ equipment which require special permit from the relevant authorities to import them.

Sources from Algiers International Airport have revealed that the investigations came following the seizure of a batch of equipment from individuals who were transporting illegally radios and walky-talkies with the help of customs officers from the airport.

It should be noted that customs services along with the border police and the gendarmerie officers are in charge of seizing sensitive equipment including arms, ammunitions and infrared binoculars.
