A total of 13 people would be prosecuted. Of them, seven are on the run accused of forming a terrorist group, killing and using explosives.

The judge rejected a request made by lawyer Selini Abdelmadjid to release suspect M. M. prosecuted for not notifying authorities about a crime.

The case has been postponed for the third time. It has drawn public opinion since investigations started in 2007. Suicide bombings targeted sensitive places like the Constitutional Council and a UN agency in Algiers. Some victims were foreign nationals.
