Demonstrations by the Rally for Culture and Democracy party fail in Algiers

ALGIERS- The demonstration to which called the Rally for Culture and Democracy party (RCD) Saturday morning in Algiers was transformed into a rally infront of the party headquarters in Didouche-Mourad Street.

The policemen hanpered the demonstartion, unauthorized by Algiers Province to which called the RCD party.

A police source said that during police intervention, 7 policemen were injured, two among them are in serious cases.

An RCD MP has been injured while he was inside the party headquaters. According to the same source a police commander was  injured and transported by the civil protection the hospital.
