Evacuation of the Algerian ambassador to Libya, Abdelhamid Bouzaher, before the implementation of his kidnap by unknown elements, was carried out by a special detachment of the Algerian army, which secured him from his residence to the airport , accompanied by 50 employees and members of their families, and from there to the Algerian territory, Echorouk informed source said.
Libyan Minister of Economy described the evacuation as a “process of securing that was not an Algerian position against the Libyan authorities”.
Echorouk sources added that the “quality process” was carried out by a team of the Algerian army to secure the return of Ambassador Bouzaher, on Friday morning, as the security team flied from Boufarik military airport, towards the Libyan soil, and reached the residence of the ambassador, who notified the Foreign Ministry, before that, about the plan which targeted him.
“Security unit ensured the Ambassador’s transfer from his residence to the airport, where a military plane was waiting for him to bring him to Algiers, as he was received at the Army Club of Beni Massousse.”
This operation is considered an important success for the National Army, both for intelligence and operationally, as it enabled the Directorate of External Security – a security diplomatic missions at the level of intelligence – to survey valuable information, since time ago , stating the existence of the plot to target the Algerian embassy, then an emergency plan was prepared, then was activated to save the Ambassador in foreign soil, without confrontations, as this is the second success that is recorded in the operational side, compared with the failure of other countries to protect their diplomatic missions on the Libyan soil.
Libyan Minister of Economy,Moustafa Bofennas, said the evacuation of the Ambassador and the closure of the Embassy and the General Consulate is a step by the Algerian government that aimed at securing its ambassador and the staff of the general embassy that is operating in Tripoli, and was not a position from the Libyan government.
“We will do our best to overcome the attack against Ambassador Abdelhamid Buozaher, to let him return to the exercise of his functions , and continue what has been achieved from the development of the Algerian -Libyan ties since the beginning of his work in Tripoli”.
Libyan Minister said the Ambassador Bouzaher left the Libyan territories after the unknown threats against him, adding: “We notified the Libyan authorities about that”.
“We refuse the news by media about the situation in Libya. Yes there is a deteriorating situation in Libya, but not to the degree that we watch in the media, there is a blackening of reality than before. Wallah, there is a blackening of reality and a media war against Libya.”
