Dismissed from the penitentiaries to protest on Thursday
Minister of Justice, Tayeb Belaiz

Strike off the roll from penitentiary department decided to restart their protest move by holding a sit-in in front of the Ministry of Justice, next Thursday (12th May).

Four thousand dismissed staffs are determined to mark the sit-in, together with their wives and children, to force the Minister of Justice to meet their main claim: reintegrate their jobs.

The representatives of the protesters told Echorouk that they have chosen to mark a sit-in on Thursday because the Minister of Justice, Tayeb Belaiz, will sure be there, as long as he is used to hold on that day periodic meetings with central executives and the director of the penitentiary administration.

The dismissed protesters claimed that the disciplinary committee which authorities pledged to install has not started summoning any one of them to be heard again.

They further required to meet Minister of Justice, personally, and rejected any further dialogue with current director of the penitentiary administration, Mokhtar Fellioune.
