Droukdel plans more kidnappings to buy Libyan smuggled arms

The violent clashes in Libya between rebels and pro-Kaddafi forces have brought back the terror Salafist Group for Preaching and Combat (GSPC) to the front scene.

• In fact, concordant sources told Echorouk that the National Emir of GSPC, Abdelmalek Droukdel, alias Abou Musaab Abdelouadoud, has contacted his elements nationwide and required them to kidnap businessmen and contractors, and ask for maximum ransoms.
• The same sources mentioned Droudkel tends to use the collected ransoms in purchasing arms being smuggled from Libyan arsenals, to revive the broken-down terror groups in Algeria.
• Yet, security forces have recently notified businessmen to be vigilant while travelling to visit and inspect their projects.
• To recall, several contractors and businessmen had been kidnapped in recent years in the provinces of Tizi Ouzou, Boumerdes, Bouira and Jijel, enabling terrorists collecting more than 5 billion dinar ransoms, according to press reports.
