Drug addict stabs high schooler in Algiers

A 18-year-old girl was stabbed on Monday by a drug addict in a high school in Algiers who run away leaving the pupil laying on the ground.

• The girl received first-aid treatment in the hospital. Her class mates are living in panic as the drug addict threatened to kill them.

• The incident took place in a school in the city of Douera. Pupils and teaches left their classes asking for ensuring their safety. They told Echorouk it is not the first time that strangers enter the high school. They come everyday to chat with girls and guards can not prevent them. Some of them bring cars with them and bother girls.

• They also said the high school is open and situated in an isolated place in the middle of the forest. Delinquents enter and insult the pupils.

• Earlier in the second school season, a stranger stole the victim’s mobile phone while she attended a sports séance. Her teacher chased the thief but he could not catch him.

• The thief came back on Thursday and entered the girl’s classroom. He tried to convince her that he did not steal her phone and he threatened to beat her. He slammed her girl mates who tried to defend her. The man threatened to kill the pupils. The school administration called the police and the man was arrested. He is in prison at present.
