Ebola virus causes panic in Algeria hospitals
Algerian health ministry gave an instruction to hospitals to raise emergency state to face any Ebola virus threat and to notify about any suspicious case.
“El Quettar hospital took all the necessary measures to face this dangerous virus. No infection case was reported in Algeria. A meeting held inside the ministry came up with the decision to determine all the necessary ways to face this virus. An isolated pavilion was allocated to receive any emergency case in the hospital,” El Quettar’s director Hadi Flissi told Echorouk on Monday.
Health minister Abdelmalek Boudiaf Monday said no Ebola case was reported in Algeria.
“A prevention system against Ebola virus was set up in northern and southern Algeria,” he told reporters on his visit to Ain Guezzam in Tamenrasset province (south of Algeria).
