Echorouk celebrates its tenth anniversary and promises to be more brilliant

Thursday’s night was joyful as Echorouk Al Yaoumi celebrated its tenth anniversary in presence of politicians and historic personalities.

• Echorouk chose that the celebration would be with the prizegiving of the solidarity contest launched in the fasting month of Ramadan with the partnership of economic operators. They are : Algeria’s telecommunication operator Mobilis, Cars brand Diamel Cheuvrolet, soft cerbornated soft drinks maker Hamoud Boualem, Alliance Assurances and the national television.
• Sportsmen also attended the party including Algeria national coach Abdelhak Benchikha and the manager of JSKabylie Mohaned Cherif Hannachi and former national coach Mahieddine Khalef. 
  
  Cultural figures were also there like Doctor Amine Zaoui, former director of the National Library and Ahmed Madi, president of the Maghrebin publishers’ Union along with poets and writers.
  Egyptian journalist Alae Sadek was honoured in the party as he represented the wise voice during the football crisis between Algeria and Egypt
  
  More than 650 personalities attended the party in which Echorouk blew out the ten candles for its tenth anniversary. It proved that success in the country of martyrs is not a miracle. It can be done by willpower, ambition and faith in the Algerian people’s principles.
   
   
• Echorouk’s publisher Ali Fodil: “We got out from classical style of journalism and we made a miracle”
  
  After he welcomes Echorouk’s guests, General Director Ali Fodil said “Echorouk was turned from no more than a newspaper into a multi-activity enterprise after 10 years of experience. That made it going out from classical aspect and made it a vital partner of activities in various sectors. That is meant to make new traditions which do not exist in the Algerian press.”
  “Echorouk honoured scholars, intellectuals and sportsmen. It presented them to the Algerian reader. For instance, it honoured late writer Taher Wattar, cheikh Abderahmane Djilali and cheikh Abderrahmane Chibane and others. It also honoured Rabah Saadane, Lakhdar Belloumi and other sport stars,” he added.
  “Echorouk has even the honour to receive the World Cup before it had gone to South Africa. It also sponsored the Algerian Football Federation (FAF), JSKabylie, Ess Setif, CRB clubs and others.”
  Ali Fodil talked bout solidarity campaigns the newspaper had organised to help ill children as well as its sponsorship of Gaza convoys. 
  
  “Echorouk has also organised trainings for journalists and dealt with publication field in Algeria’s international book exhibition. All that shows that the newspaper entered in society and makes it deserving to be the leading newspaper,” he said.
   
  State Minister Abdelaziz Belkhadem:  don’t loose strengh
  “We are proud that Echorouk exists and we need it in the international level. You may be hit but don’t loose strength,” said State Minister Abdelaziz Belkhadem.
  
  “We care about a newspaper which transmit our feelings and cause and reflects our existence. Echorouk is a baby who has grown up and can not be killed. You have become the newspaper of all the Algerian people,” he added.
   
  Former head of government Belaid Abdelssalam: you complete the Algerian revolution achievements
  
  Former head of government Belaid Abdelssalam said he was happy for coming to Echorouk’s party. “You exceeded one million copies in circulation. We consider that as part of the liberation revolution achievements, the spread of Arabic and the independence change achievements in 1962. We see now that Arabic is the dominant and I read in Arabic. We advise you to continue in the same way.”
   
  Former head of government Reda Malek: you have professional and mature journalists
  
  Former head of government Reda Malek said “we should continue in the same line. Your evolution is very positive and it opens over the national political and international arena. It also opens over modernity with the preservation of history and Arabic. You bear a big pedagogical responsibility in education and you can do that. You have professional and young journalists who want to understand political, economic and cultural situation in Algeria. Actually, I felt that in a forum with Echorouk. I noticed that journalists were interested in analysing the situations and this is very important in the historical aspect.”
  
  “Echorouk defended the nation in the international level against those who insulted Algeria’s martyrs and by defending Palestine and West Sahara cause,” he added.
  
  “I advise you to write about the Algerian revolution history.”

  The housing minister Noureddine Moussa has spontaneously declared” When we read Echourok, we don’t realize that it has been created 10 years go because it has put a name for itself on the media scene very quickly, as an official I can say that the newspaper was very objective through its critics and as a citizen, I can add that Echourok is dealing with an array of topics ranging from, politics, economics and sports and culture.”
   
  Smail Mimoun( Tourism minister): Echourok is a successful experience in a record time
   
  Tourism Minister Ismail Mimoun has qualified Echourok’s experience as” a successful one in a very short period it has succeeded to attract a large number of readers and consolidated its presence on the Algerian media scene with its firm response to those who insulted the Algerian values ( meaning the Egyptian media) … politically, Echourok has dealt with just causes including the Palestinian and Sahrawi ones”.
   
  Mustapha Ben Badda (  Trade Minister): You are objective even when you criticize the government
   
  “ Echourok’s successes are extraordinary if compared to 10 years experience and this is the outcome of seriousness and resilience, its objectivity added to its credibility because the real reader can  detect accuracy in the treatment of the  information, as officials we don’t feel angry when we read reports on our activities because they are done with objectivity… Congratulation to Echorok I’m a faithful reader to this newspaper”.
   
  Diplomatic corpses attended the ceremony
   
  The Indonesian ambassador to Algiers Yorli Momboni was marvelled to the newspaper’s achievement noting that the use of three languages through the online version “ Echourokonline” reflects the company’s greatness… I usually consult the English version on Echourokonline “.
   
  The Yemeni ambassador Djamel Aouadh Nacer has indicated that he was regularly reading Echourok newspaper before being appointed and this proves its good reputation and international dimension… Echourok is the pride of all the Arabs “.
   
  For his part the cultural attaché at the US embassy Lorance Randolph has indicated that Echourok was important for America in Algeria and the Middle East region and we are Echorouk addicts at the embassy, noting that the latest reward given by Forbes as the one of the most influential newspapers in the Arab world was not a surprise.

  General Director of Diamal Pierre Labbé said he was happy for sharing with Echorouk the same tenth anniversary in Algeria. “I hope that Diamal will be successful as Echorouk was.   President of Algerian businesswomen organisation Khadidja Belhadi was impressed by a video tape which summerised Echorouk Al Yaoumi’s phases since the start of media pluralism.
   
  “Echorouk resisted and succeeded in spite of all the obstacles. I advise the Algerian youngsters to take Echorouk’s success experience as an example of perseverance,” she said.
   
  Echorouk honours wisdom voice in Egypt Alae Sadek
   
  “Thank you for inviting me and I thank my brothers in Algeria for your hearty welcome, said Egyptian journalist Alae Sadek as he was honoured by the newspaper.
   
  He was honoured for his fair positions towards sports causes. “My participation in this event today is an attempt to heal the injury. I know it is deep but our ties are deeper,” he said.
   
  “The beginning of the glint was in Egypt. I faced an Egyptain reject as I said the truth. The Algerian media bears a part of the responsibility,” he added.
