Echorouk TV “snatches” Stars of Science 9 show from MBC4
Echorouk TV continues unveiling its big surprises for its faithful viewers each season.
Viewers will watch the first reality TV show in the Arab world Stars of Science. Its ninth season will be exclusively broadcast on an Algerian channel. Its previous seasons were broadcast on MBC4. It is part of Echorouk group’s new policy to produce and broadcast shows and series of Maghrebin and Arab dimension.
Exclusively in 2015, Echorouk TV broadcast Arab Casting show and cooking world competition Master Chef in its Algerian version last season.
The new season of Stars of Science show will have a new jury of three experts: Professor Fouad Mourad, Doctro Khaled Al-Ali and Professor Abdlehamid Zahri. The most important graduates of the show will be present.
The show will be broadcast on other Arab channels and not on MBC
The show was launched by Qatar Institution of Education, Sciences and Society Development. Viewers watched the previous seasons on MBC4 which is owned by Saudi Arabia. Yet, the new season will not be broadcast on this channel.
All it seems that media war which broke out, a few months ago, between Saudi Arabia and Qatar due to the Gulf crisis was behind the ban of the show on MBC.
Echorouk and other Arab channels seized the opportunity to break the monopoly on the show.
Stars of Science show will also be broadcast on six Arab channels: LBC (Lebanon), Roia (Jordan), Nessma (Tunisia), Sumaria (Iraq), Al-Rai (Kuwait) and Oman TV. It will also be broadcast on Stars of Science’s official website.
Will Echorouk be a good omen for Algeria’s representatives?
During the 2015-2016 season of Arab Casting show, Echorouk’s channels supported Algeria’s representatives Zubair Belhar and Souhila Maalam in the finals. Episodes were broadcast on live along with advertisements to vote for them.
Belhar was the first winner while Maalam occupied the second position among female candidates.
The winner will get 5.1 billion centimes
The winner in Stars of science show will gain $300,000 to fund his creative idea. The final prime will be broadcast on November 25th on live on Echorouk TV. Second, third and fourth winners will gain $150,000, $100,000 and $50,000 respectively.
In season 2013, the winner was Algerian Doctor Mohamed Domir for his invention about the diagnosis of animals diseases through their way of walking. Algerian Doctor Mourad Mohamed Ben Osmane won the fourth place in 2015. Last year, Algerian inventor Abderrahim Bourouis won the second place for his Wonderkit invention (a smart T-shirt for people with autism).
