Statistics that were prepared by the Union of Pupils Parents Associations show that 60% of pupils are forced to choose departments which they do not like at all, especially mathematics and technical mathematics

Result of this bad measure on pupils is repeating the years, especially in the BAC gradution or leaving studies definitively.

In contrast, National Education Ministry prepared a set of preparations to regulate the process of guidance in order to avoid appeals and bad orientation of pupils.

Head of UPPA, Ahmed Khaled, told Echorouk that 60% of pupils are oriented to departmenta despite their different choice to study in other departments by their educational institutions, compared to 20% of pupils who were oriented to departments that have nothing with their real knowledge and rates.

20% of the rest pupils only were oriented according to their will and choice of departments, both from the fourth year middle school to first year secondary school, or from the first year to second year of secondary school.

“Bad orientation of pupils resulted in increasing the number of pupils who repeat years, or leave studies once for all, at a time the school is accused of this bad regulation, because the ministry thinks that the guidance process is only rates that should be respected and applied in the field.”
