Higher Education Ministry attributes the high proportion of appeals in guidance by the new students from baccalaureate holders to their commitment to the card of desires and disrespecting level grades, while some students complained because of the low grades, which deprives them from participating in the competitions of a number of specialties.

Echorouk sources said that the preliminary inductive study for the BAC results showed that 14,000 holders of the graduation, at rates ranging between 10.50 and 11.75 which is equivalent to 30% of the total successful pupils.
Same sources added that they found themselves “bound” to choose a “limited” list of desires that suit their grades, what would prevent them of specialties that require high rates and pass through competitions, on the grounds that the Higher Education Ministry adopts the same standards for admission to high-schools, colleges and universities, which requires the student a graduation that is equal to or greater than 14/20.
“Those successful pupils will commit to re-pass the baccalaureate exam next year as free candidates, in order to lift their rates of enrollment in the high institutes and colleges, especially the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy, that is mostly sought by new students.”
First university registrations will end tomorrow, and the process of confirmation of enrollment will start from July 11 for just one day, where the student is allowed to adjust the preliminary card of wishes, and in this case, students will be guided according to the second card of wishes, as the directives for students and filing appeals will be launched online only, and that in the period between July 20 and 26th, so that students can know the result of guidance, if the ten wishes are not realized, then students have the right to appeal online.
