Education: “Incompetence behind the weak results in the southern regions”, Minister Benghabrit says

Lack of French language and some scientific modules teachers, like mathematics and physics in the Southern regions, is an important problem, not to mention the lack of pedagogical supervision, especially with regard to the post of managers, Education Minister, Nouria Benghabrit said Monday, on the sidelines of the PM’s inspection to some projects in Ain Guezzam in Tamenrasset, southern Algeria.
“This is not only in the south but also at the national level. Weak results that are recorded in the southern regions is due to the lack of efficiency for many supervisors of the sector, and said explicitly. I will announce the war on incompetence”.
In response to the preoccupation that were reported by local elected about violations of order in the competitions of employment, which were granted to candidates from Bejaia, Tizi Ouzou, Algiers and Oran, and neglecting graduated of the region, in addition to the problem of the lack of French language teachers, which is not yet taught in the region, despite the passage of nearly two months since the school start, as well as some scientific modules like physics and mathematics, not to mention the problem of transfers and remittances of teachers, who leave the state after two years of teaching. These problems are posed on the national level.
“We suffer a lot from the phenomenon of movements and transfers of teachers from one area to another, and we will work to find the necessary solutions. I did not know about what is happening in the Wilaya. I call upon officials to contact me through the reports, in order to find a solution to these problems, which causes were attributed to the lack of efficiency by many officials of the sector. I will announce the war on incompetence.”
“With a return to technological institutes, I wrote a letter to the Higher Education and Scientific Research Ministry in this regard, and I prepared a massive program for the training, either for inspectors or teachers and others. Priority in employment is for graduates of the high school of teachers.”
