Egypt denies including Algeria in black list
Egyptian foreign minister assistant denied that his country included Algeria in a black list, in response to investigations opened by Algeria on that, said sources at the ministry.

The denial was followed by an official communiqué signed by the Egyptian ambassador to Algeria Abdelaziz Saif Ennasr, the same sources told Echorouk.
“Recent news concerning Egyptian reinforced security measures on Algerian people living in Egypt or those coming from Algiers to Cairo are totally baseless,” said the communiqué.
Previously, Egyptian media said there is a list ranking Algerian among dangerous countries on Egypt’s national safety. Because of that, they have to undergo exceptional procedures when entering Egypt.
The Algerian government did not immediately react over that information. Sources at the foreign ministry said “we can not take a public official position because the Egyptian authorities are still keeping silence.”
Algerian politicians believe that the information is a serious evolution of the silent crisis between Algeria and Egypt.
Spokesman for the Movement for the Society of Peace (MSP) Mohamed Djomoaa said Egypt went beyond red lines in dealing with Algeria.
“We did not accept that from the US and France. So, how can we accept it from Egypt? They know that relations with France were about to be boycotted because they did not respect us,” he added.
