Egyptian authorities delivered Algerian illegal immigrants to Israel
A judge at the court of Algiers has yesterday issued sentences against four Algerian illegal immigrants detained by the Israeli authorities and extradited in summer 2009.

The four youngsters tried to reach Italy but ended in the prison of “Remla” in Palestine after being betrayed by the Egyptians that delivered them to the Israelis and accused them of being involved in terrorist activities, but cleared of the charges after four months in prison.

The judge has sentenced them to 8 month suspended sentence and fined 20 thousand Algerian Dinars each after pretending being Palestinians. The sentence was issued in Absentia because the defendants were still under shock after being tortured by the Israelis in the prison.

The young illegal immigrants have related the events to the judge and declared that intended to reach the Italian soil seeking for job opportunities in a boat but they were surprised to find themselves in the Palestinian occupied territories.

The four boys asked help from the Egyptian authorities but were forwarded to the Israeli authorities instead that put them in jail for four months where they were tortured and accused of being terrorists.
