Egyptian Petrojet fired 30 workers following an open strike

Around 30 workers at the Egyptian company of Petroleum Projects and Technical Consultations “Petrojet”, operating in Illizi, South of Algeria, were fired because they decided to protest abuses and miserable status.

Petrojet workers refute in a petition, a copy of it available at Echorouk, allegations about acts of violence within the Egyptian company, saying that the company brings Egyptian workers despite the presence of Algerian labor, and asserting that their expulsion was arbitrary, waiting for the meeting of reconciliation on April 27 in Ain Aminas, south of Algeria.

Petrojet’s General Manger of Administrative Affairs, Othman Sakhri, told Echorouk that 30 workers who launched a strike were subject to complaints and there are reports by the labor inspectors and gendarmerie proving that they close the doors and act violently within the company causing material damage.
