Egypt's El Ahly delegation extended a warm welcome in Algeria.

The Egyptian squad of El Ahly arrived yesterday at the Houari Boumedienne International airport of Algiers where they were heartily welcomed by the JS Kabylie top manager Mohamed Cherif Hannachi as well as by the chairman of the Algerian football league Mohamed Mechrara and the Egyptian Ambassador and his staff posted in Algiers.  

• An impressive security apparatus was deployed in and around Algiers airport to ward off any incident on the occasion of the arrival of the Egyptian delegation made up of 34 members.

• The Egyptian delegation members, who were received with wreaths of flowers, expressed their utter satisfaction at this most brotherly welcome on the part of the Algerian side.

• Egyptian football star and playmaker of the El Ahly squad, Abou Trika, was also extended a special hearty welcome by Algerian fans as this player is very liked and respected in Algeria for his immense footballing talent and also for his sensible and wise stands in all circumstances.

• After the taking of souvenir photographs with their Algerian counterparts in a convivial atmosphere, the 34 members of the Egyptian delegation were led to a waiting bus bound for the eastern city of Tizi Ouzou where the Ahly team will face JS Kabylie next Sunday evening in a qualifying match as part of the African champions’ league football competition.
