Eight terrorists killed in eastern Algeria

Algerian security forces recovered bodies of 8 terrorists coming from the provinces of Jijel and Canstantine (east of Algiers), Echorouk has learnt.

• The operation came following information about the terrorists. Security forces learnt that they had left their hideouts because of cold and snow. Security forces caught them in an ambush on their way back to their hideouts after the weather had got better. Their leader was killed along with five armed terrorists. Another group of security forces killed on the same day and at the same time two other terrorists.

• This operation constitutes a big military victory of security forces which would have a negative impact on the few number of terrorists operating in mountains.

• Most of reports show that those terrorists were hiding in caves in mountains to escape combing operations. They suffered from cold and hunger.
