Algerian airports are expected to receive pilgrims starting from Wednesday amid unprecedented medical measures due to fears of Ebola and Corona virus.

Borders medical care director at the Houari Boumediene International Airport of Algiers Nadia Alam said the number of medical staff in charge of looking after pilgrims will be raised.

“Pilgrims will have a special pathway where they will have a checkup and temperature measurement. If someone is affected, he or she will be immediately be taken to hospital,” she added.

The airport’s general director Taher Alache said a large number of measures were taken to receive pilgrims. The Algerian health ministry took many prevention measures at airports, ports and borders to examine them.
