Employers and traders should declare their employee or pay 500,000 DZ fine
Seven days left for employers, traders and people who for work for their own business to settle their social security situation. As from January 2nd, they will face social security inspectors and 200,000 DZ fines for every undeclared employee. If they persist on not declaring their worker, they will have to pay 500,000 DZ.
Article 59 of the Complementary Financial Act sets measures to encourage employers and people who for their own business to affiliate with social security fund.
The government dropped prison sentence to employers who do not declare their workers and replaced it by a 500000 DZ fine.
Echorouk has learnt that the government does not have any intention to extend the deadline for employers to declare their workers. Earlier in April, it extended it until next Saturday.
The Social Security Fund plans to deploy inspectors to check employees’ situation.
