Employers who do not declare their employees for social security will have to pay 200,000 DZ to 400,000 DZ fine for each undeclared worker. The government will start applying this new measure as from next January.

The new measures also stipulate 200,000 DZ to 400,000 DZ fines if the infraction is repeated.

The Finance Commission at the People’s National Assembly Monday started discussing the draft financial act.

Public authorities aim at ensuing social cover for all the workers in Algeria by stipulating simple and encouraging measures in terms of social security. Provisions were introduced to the Complementary Financial Act 2015 to ban social security contributions debts. Employers were exempted from paying delay penalties in return for paying contributions according to a payment planning.

The next financial act will maintain December 31st as a deadline for employers to pay their debts.
