Energy minister Mustapha Gitouni Sunday said Sonelgaz company is not bankrupt and it does not need an emergency plan. “People should just pay their electricity and gas bill. Enterprises also should pay their debts.
According to observers, the minister’s remarks came in response to Sonelgaz’s General Director who had said bankruptcy threatens the company.
Gitouni stressed the importance of using solar energy in the agricultural field. He called for coordination to train farmers and benefit from experiences.
“Sonelgaz is doing good. Sub-contractors who conduct gas and electricity projects will be paid,” he said.
