Entente Setif, best Arab team in 2010
ALGIERS- Entente Setif was named best Arab team in 2010, following a survey conducted by specialized website Eurosport, conducted among Internet users in the Arab world, sources reported Monday.
ESS, vice-champion of Algeria and recent winner of the North African Union Winners’ Cup (UNAF), has collected 40% of the votes (1758 votes), ahead of two Egyptian clubs Al Ahly of Cairo (25%, 1099 votes), and Zamalek (20%, 879 votes), the source said.
The Tunisian club Esperance of Tunis, a finalist in the African Champions League, ranked the 4th position (7%, 307 votes), ahead of Saudi Arabia Al Hilal (4%), Ittihad of Syria (3%), and Wihda of United Arab Emirates (1%). Over 4394 votes were cast at the poll conducted by Eurosport, said the source.
