Euro Price changes the Algerians’ destination from France to Dubai
Algerians’ flights to abroad for the New Year’s celebration noticed a big decline because of the Euro price’s increase, and the repercussions of Paris bombings that are still casting a shadow over the atmosphere in France.
Euro, which is the closest currency to the Algerians after the dinar reached the highest value during these days on the market (18,000 dinars for a hundred Euros), after it remained high since the last summer, which means that the cost of any trip outside the country noticed a rise compared to the previous years, which made the majority of Algerians think again and decide to cancel the celebration of New Year abroad, especially those who benefited from the right for the bank’s currency conversion, and have no choice but the black market, where the currency will remain, according to specialists, on the rise.
This increase coincided with the launch of the Umrah season that is associated with the celebration of the birth of Prophet Mohamad, and therefore the Euro noticed a high demand in the market, and the Umrah also contributed to the decline in trips to celebrate the New Year, as some Algerians preferred to go to the holy sites to win the reward rather than commit sins in the Christmas celebrations.
Algerians flights towards Tunisia also declined, given the political turmoil in the neighbor and the large reluctance of foreigners who used to meet Algerians in the New Year celebrations.
On the other hand, the recent bombings in Paris contributed to the decline in the number of Algerians who visit France, which has entered into a spiral of stringent security measures, and the continuous pressure on everything that has to do with Islam and Arabs. Thus, the trip to France in these circumstances may mean some kind of adventure especially since any gathering in front of the Eiffel Tower will have tight security measures for fear of any emergency.
In the face of these facts the best destination for Algerians remains Dubai, which will host the largest celebration of the New Year, as this emirate has become a global destination and is classified within the map of the world’s famous monuments that are frequented by visitors during the New Year’s celebrations, as well as the Opera House ceremony in Sydney, Australia, and the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France and Elizabeth Tower “Big Ben” in London, and Times Square in America.
Dubai is becoming a magnet for tourists from around the world, and is used to organize fairy celebrations that fascinated everyone.
Even the weather conditions are in favor of this emirate, which is characterized by mild climate these days, unlike Turkey and several European countries, which noticed a cold weather.
If the New Year’s celebrations are an opportunity to bring tourists in these countries, then tourism in Algeria remains absent on such occasions.
