FAF pays tribute to emblematic football figures
Algerian Football Association (FAF) has paid tribute to several vetran international footballers, referees, coaches and former FAF presidents, at the sidelines of FAF General Assembly held on Sunday, in Annaba province.
- President of FAF, Mohammed Raouraoua said at this occasion that his association aims at making of this initiative a tradition which set opportunity to pay tribute to those who served the Algerian football.
- However, some emblematic figures of the national football have not attended this gala, including former national coach Rabah Saadane, who contributed to a third historical World Cup qualification in 2010.
- Raouraoua and former international footballer Rabah Madjer have shaken hands, putting an end to an 8 years dispute, which sparked when Madjer had been fired from coaching the national team by Raouraoua himself in 2002.
