Financial regulation bill adopted by Parliament

ALGIERS- The bill on financial regulation for 2008 was adopted Thursday by the People's National Assembly (Parliament), at a plenary session chaired by Speaker Abdelaziz Ziari in the presence of government members.

Financial regulation law, presented only twice in Algeria (1978 and 1981), is “mechanism for verification of budget execution” in line with article 160 of the Constitution and the law 84-17 relating to finance acts.

In its assessment report of September 2010, the Court of Auditors had assured that the bill included all required data for the assessment of the 2008 budget, the minister for Relations with Parliament, Mahmoud Khedri, said while presenting the bill.
