First Arab agriculture and food-processing industry fair in Biskra

BISKRA (Algeria)- The first Arab Agriculture and Food-processing Industry Fair (Arabagro-expo 2011) opened Sunday afternoon at El Kheir shopping centre in Biskra (425-km southeast of Algiers) with the participation of national operators and an Iraqi stand.

The fair comprises 40 stands.

Each stand is divided in two sections, one devoted to farm products (dates, olive oil, honey, tomatoes, peppers, French beans, oranges, lemons, milk and dairy products, semolina and pastas), and the second for food-processing tools (farming, irrigation and packaging).

The Iraqi stand highlights the agricultural sector of Iraq and its history.
