Five broke out from high -security prison in Algeria
Algerian justice minister
In the manner of the Hollywood serial “Prison breakâ€, the penitentiary of the province of Medea ( 80 kms south west of Algiers) has witnessed Tuesday night an extraordinary jailbreak of five prisoners.

-
Reliable sources revealed that the prisoners have closely monitored the surveillance cameras’ positions as well as the wardens’ movements and dug a whole in an isolated corner of their cell’s roof, Echorouk has learnt.
-
-
Their escape was facilitated by the fact that the penitentiary was a colonial legacy whose roof tops were made of tiles easy to shatter. The wardens have reacted few minutes after the escape of the prisoners who, according to preliminary investigations, have carried out their operation using several stages to avoid being detected.

-
Four of them succeeded to break out while the fifth was caught by the wardens when he was trying to flee. The town was put on a high alert soon after informing the security services about the escape.

-
The prison’s area has been cordoned off and a large- scale operation was triggered to hunt for the prisoners who have seemingly taken different directions to mislead the security forces and boos their chances to success.

-
The same sources didn’t exclude the involvement of accomplices from the outside in this operation and suppose that they have given them a lift, that‘s why they went unnoticed despite the deployment of the security forces.
