Five winners in the English skills contest

The British Council in Algiers has awarded yesterday prizes to the five winners of the “Premier Skills” contest organized in partnership with Echorouk.

  • The British Ambassador to Algiers, Martin Robert, presided over the ceremony attended by the Director of the British Council, Jeremy Jacobson, and representatives of Echorouk newspaper as well as the leader of the Algerian Muslim Scout.
  • The top five has been selected among 40 thousand contenders from Algeria and abroad. The competition is designed to improve English skills.
  • In his statement, the British Ambassador praised the successful partnership between the British Council and Echorouk Newspaper. He reasserted his support to all projects intended to consolidate English learning using innovative methods.
  • The contest has been started in agreement between the British Council and Echorouk and consisted in publishing short stories in English with quiz designed to improve the language of the readers on the newspaper and the website.
  • The winners are:  Messaoud Henk-Hamza Saadoun-Meriem Djaber-Khalissa Bousentouh-Nouredine Chouache.
