Unit to identify victims of disasters that have been dispatched to Mali, consisting of 15 experts found thousands of human body pieces mixed in the area of the AH5017 crash, Colonel Bouremana Sid Ahmed, General Director of the National Institute of Forensic Science and Criminology at the National Gendarmerie, told Echorouk.

“Regional groups of the gendarmerie in coordination with agents of the republic will call here on Saturday the victims’ families to take samples and conduct DNA tests in order to compare them with samples of analysis that are filed in the crash site”. 
First official of the Institute of Criminology and Criminal Evidence at the National Gendarmerie in Bouchaoui, asserted that; “The mission of the delegation of gendarmerie experts who are present in the incident site is a very difficult task but not impossible. Investigators of the unit to identifying the victims of disasters, and who are exactly present in the “Gaussi” in northern Mali have found thousands of body parts and human remains, as they are going to assembled them before separating and isolating all the pieces of human bodies and subjecting them to detailed analysis and expertise.” 
“Working conditions of gendarmes experts who are present in the crash site are very difficult due to high temperature that exceeds 45 ° C, in addition to the exposure of body parts that are scattered there to contamination, rotting, burning and mixing, which affects logically on the effect of DNA”.
