FLN for two limited Presidential terms, says Belkhadem

Secretary General of National Liberation Front, Abdelaziz Belkhadem said his party favours limiting Presidential terms to two.

Mr Belkhadem told national radio channel II that “President Abdelaziz Bouteflika is ok and he is serving the office.”
He further added that his party is not against a cabinet reshuffle, adding that FLN prefers Presidential system of government rather than Parliamentary system, because the latter “promotes” regionalism and tribalism.
As for the recent protest movements, Mr Belkhadem said “In case we failed to meet legitimate claims with available capacities of the country, then we have to change the methods and some figures in the government, if we must.”
FLN SG stressed that “It is better to limit Presidential terms in two, in order to avoid power monopoly.”
