Football: Italian Media Describe Algeria as One Thousand and One Nights Team

Italian media reported that Algeria national football team will suffer a lot in the next African Cup of Nations due to be held in Gabon between January 14th and February 5th.

Italian media said the team showed a perturbed performance during recent matches and its technical staff has not been decided so far. 

According to an Italian news website, Algeria team’s defenders is not as brilliant as its strikers although they include prominent defenders in European championships.

The website said defence will be the only negative point in the national team in the future.

It published an article untitled ‘Algeria, a Team of One Thousand and One Nights.” It highlighted the national team’s performance, saying it is strong thanks to players Taider, Mehrez, Faghouli, Ghazal, Brahimi, Ben Taleb, Guedioura, Slimani and Soudani.
