Foreign Airlines to Transport Umrah Pilgrims

Chairman of the Union of Travel Agencies, Bachir Djerribi, revealed on the resort of a number of Travel Agencies to organize undirect flights for Umrah, through contracting with airlines, other than Air Algérie, in order to reduce expenses, while he explained that the agency is committed to the contract with the Office of Hajj and Umrah with respect to pilgrimages flights that will be jointly organized by Air Algérie and Saudi Arabian Airlines.

Djerribi told Echorouk that the indirect flights, which are made through contracts with foreign companies, are usually organized to regulate the Umrah season, in order to reduce costs.

“Companies that are concerned with the Hajj season are Air Algérie and the Saudi Airlines, in accordance with the concluded agreement between the Office of Hajj and Umrah and the Saudi authorities.”

“Pricing of transport will be disclosed after the return of the office mission from the holy sites, which decided on Tuesday, to extend their stay for 4 more days, including the Sanusi Elias agencies, to study the prices and the costs of buildings, transport and accommodation, and the office will reveal on the rest of the details about the contracts that it signed with the Saudi side, especially those that are related to renting buildings and hotels.”
